About Us

From Supplying the Industry to Creating Our Own

We’ve been in the leather trade since 1995, supplying full-grain Italian hides to artisans, fashion houses, and luxury brands across Europe.

For over two decades, we’ve worked closely with small, family-run workshops in Florence, helping them craft timeless pieces — often behind the scenes, often under confidentiality. In 2018, we decided it was time to create something of our own.

That year, we launched the Takeasy bag line and opened our first wholesale showroom in Florence. Since then, we’ve been making bags the way we always believed they should be made — from the best full-grain leather and real suede, with real craftsmanship, and none of the brand-name inflation.

In 2022, we expanded to the U.S., making it easier and faster for customers to get genuine Italian-made bags — without duties, delays, or overpriced logos. Every bag is still handmade in Florence and shipped straight from Florida.

These aren’t brands you’ll find on Fifth Avenue. Our makers don’t do ads or billboards — just real leather, made to last, and now available across the U.S. without the wait.

We work with a close-knit group of artisans in Florence — some of whom we’ve known for over 15 years. These are small workshops, often run by second- or third-generation leatherworkers who still use traditional techniques and tools. They’re not factories. And they’re not in a hurry.

We’ve seen what’s sold in street markets — flashy “Italian leather” bags made fast and cheap, often far from Florence. That’s not us. We work directly with local artisans who’ve honed their craft over decades, using real full-grain hides — the kind we’ve supplied since 1995.

That’s exactly why we trust them.

You can see our workshop in action on our site — we believe transparency matters. And yes, every bag includes a sewn-in “Made in Italy” label.

Today, Takeasy is more than a bag brand. It’s our answer to “luxury” — redefined.
Not loud. Not labeled. Just full-grain leather and suede, made well, meant to last.
