Real full-grain leather feels softer and more supple than stiff coated or bonded “leather,” and that natural variation is the character of the material, not a flaw. (The label “genuine leather” elsewhere is often used for coated or bonded material — this is the real, full-grain thing.)
What are the pros and cons of pebbled full-grain leather?
Pebbled (Dollaro) full-grain leather is a pebble emboss pressed into full-grain hide, with a soft matte look.
Pros: the texture hides small scuffs so the bag looks newer longer, it feels substantial in hand, and the grain reads consistently across panels.
Trade-offs: it’s a relaxed, tactile finish rather than a glossy one, and being soft leather it drapes rather than standing stiff.

Quick fix: if you spot a few loose fibers, trim them close with sharp scissors (don’t cut stitches). Heavy fraying or a separating seam would be a defect — then it’s covered by a 30-day return or exchange.

Why doesn’t my tote stand up on its own?
