Genuine And Amazing...

I ordered this suede bag in the tobacco color and I really like it. It is a very high quality bag that is a great size for my essentials. The leather is very soft and the color is uniform throughout the bag. This is a bag that can be used for the office or going out with friends. The adjustable shoulder strap makes it comfortable to use along with the handles. The zipper is well made and slides easily. I like the hook inside the bag which keeps the contents from falling out.

This handmade leather bag is a surprisingly good value. The cost of this bag should be a lot higher than what it is. Great bag, and great quality; highly recommend!

This review is for the Italian Genuine Suede Top-Handle Bag for Women with Zipper & Adjustable Strap | Medium Structured Satchel Handbag, which was selling for $185 at the time of this review - SEE MY NOTE at the end of this review.

Well, I am not a handbag connoisseur but I ordered this for my wife who certainly considers herself one. I didn't tell her the price, where I got it, or how, just that I bought it for her. I withheld information because she tends to judge things by price and/or brand name first rather than actual quality, and I have seen her (many times) hold something in high esteem because of a brand name and the price when it was utter junk... from food at the store, to stuff around the house, to personal items, even to big ticket items like vehicles!... but I digress. Without any knowledge of price or origin, I made her give me her opinion, and here it is...

"The quality is excellent. The material smells like quality leather; it is obviously real, so this was not a cheap knockoff like I would expect you to buy. The handles are a bit shorter than I would like because I like to use the handles over my shoulder rather than the strap, but with the strap, I can use it across my body. However, if I wear it across my body with the strap, then the handles are a bit big, so they are sort of too small for one way and too large for the other. I really like the clasp and how it securely locks closed, but overall, it is smaller than I would like at my age and for the stuff I ALWAYS carry, no matter what. If I were younger, I would carry this more often, but it is a very nice handbag. How much was it?"

For the inquisitive reader, no, I never told her the price or the origin because, despite her initial impressions, it would be a GUARANTEE that the item would fall out of favor and she would lose interest and probably donate it if she knew. Ridiculous? Absolutely... but one must choose their battles and know how to win them!!!

NOTE - If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading products for honest reviews. NOTE that the items are NOT Free because Vine Members have to pay Income Tax on the value of the item, so the product is discounted but definitely not free, more like 1/3 to 1/2 price. As such, I don't order things that I don't NEED and USE!!! This is an important distinction because it should give you more faith that my reviews are not some fake nonsense boilerplate... I USE WHAT I ORDER, and I don't hold back if something is junk because I still had to pay for it... and this program actually bumped me up to a higher tax bracket in 2025, so it definitely wasn't free!
